Two is not too small for a villa. Staying in a villa means that you have all the privacy of back home while enjoying the tropical Dominican air. Our selection of getaway for two villas include private pools or hot tubs, full service cleaning and a fresh cooked breakfast waiting for you when you want it.
Following breakfast, you can choose to opt in for a couples massage. Two masseuses will greet you at your villa and turn it into a luxurious at home spa. Enjoy an hour of bliss and before heading out for an afternoon of adventure.
Our favourite place to visit with your second half is Catalina Island. The beach at Playa Minitas is nice, however if you are planning on staying at the beach all day; a trip to Isla Catalina is a must. The turquoise waters and white sand beaches of Catalina are stunning. A strip of the coast provides coral reefs which are ideal to snorkel. Swim together in awe of all the colourful fishes inhabiting the reef. After all the snorkelling, it’s time to head back to the beach and enjoy a fresh cocktail in your lounge chair. After your drink reapply coral reef safe sunscreen and go for a hike in park. Explore the lush jungle forest of the island on a trail that has been made throughout. The walk takes approximately an hour, you will see many birds and flowers as well as interesting looking plants. Head back to your lounge chair and enjoy the beach. When you are ready to go, head back to the scheduled Casa de Campo boat ride to head back to Minitas Beach. Head back to your villa and enjoy a fresh smoothie from your fridge.
When you are ready to head back up, head to the Marina to enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the many restaurants located in the central plaza. Sit enjoy or enjoy the cool evening Caribbean breeze. Limoncetto is perfect for a classic Italian meal, 305 brings the flavour of Miami to the plate,<2more restaurants>.Don’t forget get desert.
When you are ready. Head back to your Villa and get a good nights rest.
Another one of our favourite ways to spend the day with your loved one at Casa de Campo is to wake up and enjoy a fresh brewed breakfast and fresh cooked breakfast. Talk to your chef and make sure you enjoy the food you love each morning.
After your breakfast it is time to head up to the Casa de Campo centre for a clay pigeon shooting lesson for two. Located in the North East of the Resort, Casa de Campo has a world class shooting centre sprawled over 243 acres of its land. With everything to please both beginners and aficionados, the Casa de Campo shooting centre is an exciting setting for a memorable date. An instructor will introduce you to the sport, teach you how to hold and aim the shotgun. When you give the go, clay pigeons will be shot out of various towers. A safari style shooting experience is possible in which you drive and aim at clay pigeons, clay rabbits and other targets as you drive past them.
After getting your Rambo on, take your golf cart and drive up to Altos de Chavon for lunch. La Cantina serves excellent Mexican inspired food and fresh salads. They goat cheese salad is light and tasty. Order a shot of Mamajuana and give the Dominican Liquore a taste. Mamajuana consists of Rum, honey, red wine and tree bark. The drink is thought to be an aphrodisiac. Results may vary. We find that it is the perfect Dominican Digestive following a meal.
Altos de Chavon is a 16th century inspired mediterranean village. The stone village features a church, an amphitheater, many buildings as well as an indigenous history museum. There are many shops, restaurants and bars to visit. The village itself is a lot of fun to walk around. There are countless places to take strike a pose. When you are finished with Altos de Chavon, head back to your villa to enjoy a massage. Your masseuse therapists will be waiting for you for an hour long treatment.
For dinner, stay in and cook yourself dinner. Crack open a bottle of wine and have a in-villa date night. The Presidente grocery store in the Marina has a great selection of groceries and wine.
There is so much to do on a romantic getaway in Case de Campo. Keep it active and play tennis or golf. Head to the equestrian centre for a trail ride or take a donkey polo class. Like to eat? Casa de Campo Resort features over 30 restaurants which will feed you to your hearts content.
Want to take in a bit of history? After you have visited the indigenous museum for some background information, prepare a private car and guide to take you to visit the Dominican Capital city of Santo Domingo. Located an hour and a half from the resort, Santo Dominican is full of Dominican Culture, stunning architecture and things to see.
